Cellular Energy Part 1

You hear about all kinds of treatment methods and skincare products to reverse aging – treatments like microcurrent, LED, lasers, and so on.

Then the different products available like Retinol, Vitamin C, peptides… the list goes  on and on.

So how do you figure out what YOU should do?

It can be overwhelming.

We’re here to educate you on HOW these specific treatments and ingredients actually work within your skin so you feel empowered in deciding what your skin needs! When you understand WHY certain treatments or ingredients are important, it makes skincare a lot less confusing.

WHERE IT ALL BEGINS…

Let’s start out with a little thing called mitochondria. These cell organelles generate most of the chemical energy (aka ATP) needed to power various cell processes in your skin. It’s why they play a crucial role in your skin health and aging.

They are also the primary organelle affected by internal and external aging.

If the mitochondria are malfunctioning, then the energy or ATP needed for the rest of the cells to divide, differentiate, produce proteins and repair themselves is gone.

This causes aging.

So what do we do?

First off, prevention of damage is key. Sun protection and antioxidants are some of the top options for preventing cellular damage. The sad news is that there are no ingredients known to repair damaged mitochondria.

This is where our top 2 cellular regeneration treatments come into play.

Microcurrent & LED light therapy to the rescue.

These treatments actually repair the mitochondria organelles, while also boosting the energy production process. This gives your skin that added boost of ATP to perform all of the necessary cellular functions like:

  • continued division and creation of new cells (hello collagen boost!)
  • production of proteins + molecules to support cell structure (tighter skin, and lifted facial structure)
  • repair of damaged or mutated cells (keeps the healthy glow)
  • removal of cellular waste + build up  (prevents that dull look to the skin)
