Retinol: The Basics!
Once you find the right formulation for YOUR skin, you’ll never go back. Trust us! Retinol has been an anti-aging staple since the 1970’s for how it can miraculously transform the skin. It’s a true holy grail when it comes to skin correction and healthy aging!
Let’s get to it…
What is Retinol?
There are many names for it! Retinol, Retinaldehde, Tretinoin, Vitamin A, Retinoic Acid, Retinyl Palmitate, Retinyl Acetate, and the list goes on. They all belong to the family of chemical compounds known as retinoids, and are all synthetic or natural derivatives of Vitamin A. The magic happens when those retinoids are absorbed and converted to retinoic acid within the skin.
The benefits of Retinol:
Once that retinoic acid gets to work, it encourages the exfoliation of dead skin cells, and speeds up new cell production. This process also re-educates damaged skin cells so they mature normally, reducing signs of aging and treating skin conditions.

-improved circulation and strengthened blood vessels
-increased exfoliation and new cell production
-increased collagen and elastin production
-decreased congestion and prevention of acne
-protection of vital antioxidants and proteins to prevent premature aging
There’s a lot of misinformation and misleading testimonials about retinol. The thing is, like all corrective skincare, formulations matter. The formulations we recommend have appropriate concentrations of retinoids, in a delivery system that has the ability to improve your skin conditions without the irritation that often accompanies other tretinoin formulations.
